After startup and when the motor reaches normal speed, immediately open the inlet damper and adjust it to the required position (controlled from the control room). If the initial startup is not successful, identify the cause and rectify it before attempting another startup.

 

Shutdown
Under normal circumstances, shut down the system in accordance with the designated shutdown sequence from the electrical control room. Ensure that personnel wear proper protective equipment.
